Ahh, the Louvre
You could spend a week in the Louvre and still not see everything. It is absolutely astounding. I wish I had a more suitable word, but this is the type of place where words can fail you. While I don't feel compelled to revisit Paris, I would definitely consider another trip to the Louvre worthwhile.
Of course everyone rushes straight in to see this lovely lady...
Yes, that is one terrible picture, but don't expect to get one much better when you go. That room is absolutely packed with loads of visitors just trying to get a look at this tiny painting. The barrier alone keeps you at a good distance and the security guards are on their toes if you try any funny business.
But there is so much more to see...

Do you have any idea how hard it is to pick just a few pictures to share! I took so many that my fully-charged battery was dead when we left. We spent about 5 hours there, but didn't even make a dent.
There is a shopping area {not just souvenirs, but those too} and a few food court type areas, so you can take a break to have lunch and let it all sink in before going back at it. We walked until our feet hurt and our brains were spinning from everything. It really can be overwhelming!
All of the art in the Louvre is fantastic, but don't discount the Louvre itself. The architecture is just....

Tomorrow we're off to Disneyland Paris. See you there!
